PURPOSE is a practice for architecture with impact, working at the intersection of climate, community and culture.

Through PURPOSE Architecture and the nonprofit PURPOSE Foundation, we design buildings and neighbourhoods in the Netherlands and Africa. We build with biobased and local materials, draw on the building traditions of each place, and keep skills and value in the local economy.

We believe architecture can do more than shelter. It can restore ecosystems, strengthen communities and leave something of lasting value for the generations that follow.
